I recently read Jonathan Coe's Expo 58 - a fictional story set around the actual Brussels World’s Fair held between April 17 and October 19 (1958, of course). It was the first major World's Fair after World War II). The book itself is a solid 3.5 (though Goodreads, much like Netflix, forces me to choose between a 3 or a 4). I have to admit, I was drawn to the story mostly because of the cover. I know, I know, never judge a book by its cover - but look how pretty and striking it is!
The book contains a few photos and a map of the Expo in the back of the book, however, I wanted more imagery. Thus - to the interwebs I went in search of more striking images. The internet did not disappoint. Here is a selection of my graphic finds below (unfortunately - I do not know their original source, but share purely for educational and aesthetic purposes.
