Casual Cosplay, Fall Edition: #3 - Party Down

I know what you are thinking? I thought you would totally Marshmallow out first, Emily. However - the truth is: I love both Veronica Mars and Party Down equally. Rob Thomas knows how to make a television show (honestly cannot wait for iZombie). Anyways - there you have it. And come on, I'll take any excuse to wear a bow tie. .

For those who are unfamiliar with Party Down it is currently available on Hulu Plus. Oh, you want an actual description first?

Party Down ran for two seconds (2009-2010) on Starz, but then was sadly canceled (critics and fans loved it but that bloody outdated Nielsen rating screwed everything up and the show was canceled). The premise was simple: A catering team compiled of aspiring actors, comedians, writers, and one person who takes the work very seriously work a new gig each week while waiting for their big break. Simple precise made exceptional by two factors. First you have the creators and their comic genius: John Enbom, Dan Etheridge, Paul Rudd, and, of course, Rob Thomas. Then their was the acting chomps of  the main cast (aka Party down crew): Adam Scott, Ken Marino, Lizzy Caplan, Martin Starr, Jane Lynch, Megan Mullally, Jennifer Coolidge (with many amazing returning and guest stars, too many to name).

For my fall inspired Party Down ensemble I made the iconic pink bow tie out of felt (tutorial coming soon). This project really took only a matter of minutes.  Then I simply paired the felt bow tie with one of my husband's button-up white shirts, black jeans, black boots, and a black cardigan to add that special fall touch. It is a dreary raining day in Wisconsin but this bow tie is the exact cheerful pink hue to brighten my day.

The complete look. Also - as you are probably realizing my dog loves to photo bombs.
