I am always torn between Harrison Ford's role in Star Wars as Han Solo, and of course, his portrayal of Indiana Jones. I went back and forth between which one I wanted to include in this series and, in the end, decided I was in the mood to be a rebel.
Once a smuggler with just a wookie for a best friend turned rebel hero with a wookie, a princess, and a jedi all in his corner. Han, the guy with the witty remarks, a ship we swoon for, and, of course, he isn't afraid to shoot first. Plus, how many guys can make two little words not only cool, but words that would forever melt our hearts.
Plus, as we covered a few weeks ago he does it all wearing a vest. Yes he does have a few more outfits, but his iconic look includes his blood stripe pants, white shirt and vest (and of course his gun holster). I'm still kicking myself for not buying the Han Solo Leggings from Gold Bubble (next time they are available - they will be mine). Therefore, for my fall look I'm subbing in some blue cord pants and pairing it with my favorite white long sleeve, a vest I made myself, and boots. And because Han usually is not far from best friend and sidekick is Chewbacca (unless he is in carbonite), I'm pairing this look with this fun Chewie brooch from StitchandDestroy. I dare the Empire to mess with me today.
