Geeky Births, November 22nd

Tomorrow, November 22nd, just happens to be the day I was born, but we are not going to talk about my birthday. Instead, let us look at famous births that happened on this day throughout the years - oh and these folks have earned their place in geekdom.

Laugh and scream with joy today, Jame Lee Curtis (Halloween, Prom Night, Trading Spaces, Fish Called Wanda, True Lies, etc -:she can do it all). The Scream Queen was born on this day in 1958..

Avengers Assemble to celebrate Scarlett Johanson and Mark Ruffalo. That is right; both Natasha Romanova (Black Widow) and Bruce Banner (Hulk) were born on November 22nd: Ruffalo in 1967 (in Kenosha, Wi!) and Johanson in 1984.

Shhhh, you better hide, because OMAR's COMIN'. Oh yes, I share a bithday with Michael Kenneth Williams (The Wire, Boardwalk Empire, voice actor for the game Battlefield 4, and many more roles where he shows off his badass acting chops) - born in 1966. Insert your envy here.

In Minneapolis in 1940, one of the individuals who would shape my sense of humor was born (midwest boys and Brits get me, and this one happens to be both as he now hold only a British citizenship). So please sing along with me  Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam.... I mean Happy Birthday, Terry Gilliam (writer, director, animator, comic genius!)

Let us all  "Shake it like a ladder to the sun" for the wonderful Karen O (solo artist / lead vocalist of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs), born on this day in 1978 in South Korea.  Karen O's soundtrack work along lands her a spot on this list (Her, Frankenweenie, and Where the Wild Things are ring a bell) - not to mention her music. One can geek out over music.

Let me end with this: To my all fellow November 22nd births, Happy Birthday to ya!, especially to those I know personally (BK, Bill, Manu). It is one great day to be born. Huzzah - now time to celebrate!
