Curated Thrifted Dressember: Vintage Black Tunics

In honor of my Lindee Daniel's Little Black Organic Dress (the tunic dress I am wearing for Dressember), I decided to dedicate my first "Curated Thrifted Dressember" collection to "Vintage Black Tunics." Whether you prefer vintage over new, or want a budget-friendly way to turn your fashion purchases into ethical acts, look no futher than thrifting. No matter what your style or budget there is something out there for everyone in the wide world of thrifted clothing.

Thrifting is a great alternative to building your conscious closet. It has been the primary way I have built my ethical wardrobe this year. Not only do you know that you are not contributing to inhumane factories or violations of labor laws, but you also have the added environmental bonus of recycling clothing.

I love my LOBD Dress. I would also be happy to own any of the pieces I have curated for you today. Black Tunics are great as standalone pieces, but also perfect for layering. Every decade has its own take on this style classic, which allows you to have the perfect tunic to fit you. The style options are endless: add your favorite scarf, leggings, button up or cardigan - the sky's the limit.

Please check out the selection below and be inspired to seek out your next clothing purchase in a thrift store (whether online or in your neighborhood). Also, check back next Monday for another installment of "Curated Thrifted Dressember," because a dress and your choices make a difference.

For Dressember 2015, I am dedicating a collection of posts to ethical clothing companies that make dresses. This post is part of this series. If you are interested in my Dressember Campaign, click here
