Today, I share with you my current curated pick-me-up, dance around the house playlist. It is a mix of soul, funk, doo-wop, some pop, but very much 1960s-1970s. It is my go-to playlist when making dinner, straightening up the apartment, enjoying a glass of rosé, and, of course, dancing. Music to sway to, to let your backbone slip, or as Otis says "move your body all around, and just shake."
There are classics like Midnight Train to Georgia and Up on the Roof, but also some songs I considered underrated by mass trends and deserve more attention, like Harlem Shuffle, I'm Blue (The Gong-Gong Song), and Snatching it Back. This mix is always growing, which means if you do like it, check back in the future for additional songs.
Enjoy and remember with the right kind of music there should be "swinging, swaying, records playing, dancing in the street."
